Well, since there’s nothing left for us to do planning wise in our current cycle but to make the eggs, test the embryos and hurry up and wait to see the outcome…

It’s now time to get back to planning to fail so that we can begin to map out our “what comes next” steps so that we are fully braced for the impact of the CGH results.  It is very possible that we might not actually have ANYTHING to transfer this cycle  regardless of how many eggs I make and thus we would also find out with that exact same information that our chances of ever having a biologically related offspring are 0.0% –so using a surrogate will be scrubbed from our back up plan leaving us with ahhhhh, ummmmm-well nothing.

That is just about the worst 1,2 knock out punch combo one could ever be told when fighting to bring home their first baby –never mind finding this out once you have just drugged the shit out of yourself to the verge of OHSS , had a bunch of eggs pulled out of you and already begun to take massive amounts of progesterone and estrogen on the chance that you will have something to transfer on day 5.  Not having a plan in place for such a devastating (but very possible) scenario is a recipe for disaster.

I haven’t got it all quite figured out yet…but this is what I’ve got mapped out thus far…
